1972 Steel Cities Gray LT-1 convertible. Numbers matching engine and transmission. In ’72 only 405 LT-1 convertibles were built and only 11.4% of all corvettes that year were Steel Cities Gray. This car is in very good shape and runs excellent. The car was treated to a frame off restoration in the late 90' s and has only been driven in good weather since. The engine has been rebuilt to factory specs and produces and unbelievable rumble as it idles. I bought it in 2007, had it shipped here and it passed the Wisconsin emission test. Lights, gauges, clock, radio, turn signals, etc… all work. It is not a concourse car its more of a driver. Some changes from standard are as follows; 1) Updated suspension components including a mono spring in the rear 2) New carb, original one is included. 3) Hurst shifter, original one is also included. 4) Hood stripe should be white. 5) 4.11 rear end 6) The smog stuff is gone 7) Leather seats, light weight high torque starter, tires, etc.. The black vinyl hard top is included but could use some restoration. I’ll include a new set of weather stripping for the hard top. A 3-ring binder documenting the previous owners (including copies of titles) and work done is included. Several other things to note; 1) The speedometer runs fast due to the nonstandard rear gears. 2) There are a few small dings which must have occurred when previous owners were adding or removing the hardtop. I only had the hardtop on for a few weeks and have only used the convertible top since.
